I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and only located two baptismal records for children of Walter and Catherine. Their records are below. Both records mention Glaunta/Glauntha as their residence. That name must be a local placename since I did not find that name in the listing of townlands.

Thank you so much for the information especially the website.  I wiill look for Cork ancestors.  Do you live near Danesfort; is the church St. Michael?  Hoping to visit next summer.

I actually live in the States. 

The parish page shows a picture of the church but not the name of the church so I can't confirm St. Michaels.

In our researches into the Cotter and Brannan families, we visited Danesfort and Kilkenny a few years ago. St Michael’s School is next to the church, so it’s a reasonable assumption that the church is St Michael’s. Can’t find confirmation in my records though.

I have a realtive named Ellen (Eleanor) Walsh, who lived in Glaunta and had a male relative named James.

Ellen was married in 1828 in Danesfort.
Do you know of any connection between them and the family youve been researching?

I am also researching the Cullen and Walsh family but with a connection to the Gorman family in Woolen Grange.  My gg-grandmother was Catherine Gorman, born about 1811.  She married Patrick Dalton around 1840's and lived in Barrettstown, Knocktopher.  I found a Catherine Gorman born in 1809 in Woolen Grange to a James Gorman and Mary or Margaret Murphy.

There was a Kiernan Gorman who married a Mary Cullen about 1804, a Rodger Gorman who married a Bridget Walsh about 1805 or 1806, and a Thomas Gorman who married a Mary Walsh about 1801. All from Woolen Grange and their children were baptised in Chapel Tullo. Rodger, Kiernan and James were all sponsors for the various children so I suspect they are siblings or at least 1st cousins. 

I am not sure if these Gorman-Cullen-Walsh connections will work for me as I am still building trees for their families to see where it takes me.  Hopefully, I have found my gg-grandmother's family. If anyone is interested, I can provide the names of the children I have saved on an excel worksheet.
