Do Coroner's records from the 1890s exist for County Limerick? If so, where are they archived? I am specifically looking for records related to the death of John Sullivan in March 1894. The informant listed in the civil death record was "J.M. Ambrose, Coroner for the County of Limerick."
Thanks,
JT Strong

A far as I can tell most of the Coroners records for this period were lost, some for Dublin city survive but for most other areas the records for the 1890s seems to be no longer available. Most of the surviving coroner records are held by the National Archives (Dublin City).
A good source for these inquests is often the local newspaper, depending on the incident and complexity of the case could have resulted in a hearing reported over several days.
