 In Assisted Emigration From the Shirley Estate 1843-54, Patrick J. Duffy used a collection of papers at the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland to provide background to the assisted emigration of about 1300 people from the Shirley Estate in Farney, Monaghan. It includes lists of names and details of despatch.
