Hello again!

There are two RC parishes which are connected to Tullajkobegly civil parish: Gortahork and Gweedore. Gortahork records start in 1849 and Gweedore records start in 1868.I did search the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find any Boyle baptismal records with father Daniel and mother with maiden name McGee.

Roots Ireland did have a transcription of the death record for Daniel Boyle.

The Townlonds at that time according to my information was Crolly. Barony was Kilmacrenan. They were a Catholic Family. Her Cousin Kate McGee gave Gweedore as her place on the Shipping record. Una gave Cloncely as the place she came from on the Shipping list but I am sure that she and her cousin would have been working at that time.

Sorry for the misspelling of Tullaghobegly in my prior response. Crolly is a very large townland in that parish (almost 2500 acres).

I have found that Daniel's father was Conrad Boyle also from Derrybeg mother was Annie Magaviah. Annie McGee born 25 July 1825 father was John McGee and mother was Sarah McEthinney.

I am looking for more information on these people. I have Daniel living inTownlands Crolly, Barony Kilmacrenan, Parish Tullaghobegly. I have found in Griffith's Daniels house in Derrybeg but he is listed as Farmer where is farm? it has to be close but it is a common name.

Any information about these people would be welcome.

Daniel Boyle, Crolly (c.1808-1897) was my second Great Grandfather. His wife was Peigí Óg (or Peigí Rua - Peggy was a red-head) O'Donnell, possibly from Tor townland. His Death Certificate records that he was widowed at the time of his death and his daughter, Sarah Boyle, was the informant. I, his wife. have not found a Death Certificate for Peigí (Peggy; Margaret)

Crolly townland is mainly mountain and Griffith's Valuation records the townland shared between multiple landholders.

My experience in researching Boyles in this area is that all Boyle families (seem to) have a Daniel, a Manus and a Fearagal - with Grace and Mary among the girls!

In my family, Daniel Boyle (c.1848-1928), son of the above Daniel, married Ellen Boyle, Middle Dore. She was the daughter of Manus Boyle and Nancy O'Donnell.

Kate McGee was my great grandfather's, John McGee's, sister. His and Kate's father was Patrick McGee. I've just recently connected with a Ronald Graham and learned about Kate's sad story. Her mother was Annie Doogan or Duggan.

I'm curious. about Mary McGee because I show her marrying in Ireland. I would love to hear more about her.
