I am researching my grandfathers ancestors, his name was Anthony Green. He didn't know who his parents were expect on his birth certificate his mother was Ellen Green.

I am getting countless DNA matches with ancestors from Rosnakill, and multiple connections with people who decend from Blaneys. I believe the mother Ellen Green is the daughter of Patrick Greene and Rose Ann Blaney (b. 1872), daughter of Henry Blaney (b. 1830) and Cassie Sweeney but I can't say for sure as these are 3-4th generation cousins.

I also have a DNA match with Niall Blaney son of Harry Blaney (the Politican), but even though these Blaneys are also from Rosnakill I can't seem to connect them to all my other Blaney matches from Henry Blaney. I can't seem to get anymore info on Henry, I don't know who Henry's parents or siblings are.

If anyone has more knowledge on these Blaneys it would be a huge help.

    I have Rose Ann Blaney on my DNA tree and also match to Green's through DNA. The father I have for her is James Blaney and mother Catherine Sweeney. There may very well be another Rose Ann to whom you are related too and not this one. The father of James is Hugh Blaney 1808 to 1894 my 3rd great Grandfather.
