I have been trying to research the Kyte Family From Killenaule in Tipperary

Most Births are aronf the 1750-1780. My main interest is a Stephen Kyte who married a Jane Wogan in 1779 in Cashel.

  • I am a descendant of these Kytes. Did you ever find anything?

  • Hi There:

This is an old thread and Karen, I think you and I talked on Ancestry.ca. I am one of the Kytes who ended up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm a descendant of Patrick (b.1728) who had a son Johannes, who had a son Patrick who came to Cape Breton and here I am, generations later.

I would love to find out more about the Patrick from Killenaule. I can't seem to find anything back farther than him. My Grampie told me our Kyte originated in Norway, came to England, then Ireland, then Cape Breton.

    Any leads appreciated!
