Hello! I'm trying to find the ship's manifest for my maternal great grandparents. Their names are James O'Donnell and Bridget Magee from Donegal. James was born 1837 and Bridget was born 1847. They were married in Donegal October 1867 and had their first child in Philadelphia in Oct/Nov 1868. Someone found the attached record which is likely them. I know from their marriage record that the names of the fathers are correct and the date and place of marriage is correct. On this record the ages are not correct but that could be a transcription error. I have attached the record. Thanks for much for your help. (I have checked about 4 of the SS Denmark's manifest and did not see them. Could they have changed ships? Thanks in advance for your help. Alice Marnell Galcik

Alice:
Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!
Bridget Magee was from Meenbane townland in Stranorlar civil parish so you did post in the correct parish. FYI All parish postings end up on the main message board. James was from Stralongford townland in Convoy civil parish which is the parish to the north of Stranorlar.
The civil marriage record had James as 30 years old and Bridget was 24. https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1867/11511/8233693.pdf
The manifest info provided to you may not be for your ancestors. James and Bridget O'Donnell were very common names.

Hello: I am searching for a birth/baptism record for Bridget Magee, father was Neil Magee and I think the mother was Susan Tiney. Bridget married James ODonnell on October 18, 1967 in Meenbane townland, Stranorlar, Co Donegal. (I took that infomation from the marriage record.) I was wondering if there would be a baptism or birth record for Bridget Magee. or even James O'Donnell son of Nathan O'Donnell about 1838.
Thank you for your help in the past and in advance of this search.

Hi Alice!
Finding RC parish records in Co. Donegal pre-1850 is very difficult. For whatever reasons (likely the Bishop told them not to retain the records) there are limited records available pre-1850. I did search the subscription site Roots Ireland and the earliest Bridget Magee baptismal record was in 1850. I also did not locate a James O'Donnell record with the parents names you provided.
