If anyone is researching O'Connor or Hyde families that moved in the 1800's to the London area (back then Middlesex, Tower Hamlets, Stepney etc), I would love to connect.
My maternal grandmother was Margaret O'Connor (sometimes the O was dropped). Her parents were John O'Connor born abt 1857 Cork. He married Briget Hyde (Father John Mother Mary Ann Connell) in 1878 at St Mary and St Michael Stepney, London, Middlesex).
John O'Connor's father was Maurice, b.abt 1826, Cork. Labourer, later a Gas Worker. Their children if the naming pattern comes into play were Norah, John P, Dennis, Margaret, Hannah.
On the Hyde side, the children were Honora, Mary Ann, Ellen, Daniel, Margaret, Elizabeth.
