Check out Knockraheen, Clondrohid. A John Cronin farmed with my grt grt grandfather John Sweeny (John's mother was a Cronin)& Cornelius Keleher. John was married to Mary O'Connell (Mary's mother was a Keleher).

Many Thanks for your reply. Just so I understand correctly was it John Cronin's mother who was also Cronin? And if so who was (& Cornelius Kelleher)?

There is a marriage for William  Swiney & Mary Cronin in Macroom 1800. Mary Cronin's parents were John Cronin & Mary Murry. My John Sweeny was born 1809 Knockopil to William & Mary (Cronin). John Sweeny wife's mother was Margaret Keleher. The three men: John Cronin, John Sweeny & Cornelius Keleher are listed together on the Griffiths.  Now there is a record for a Cornelius Cronin born to John Cronin & Julia Tobin of Knockraheen in 1808. My John Sweeny was born 1809 so John Cronin most likely was an Uncle or possibly the grandfather.  Now I don't know if the Cornelius Keleher listed on the Griffths is the same listed as the father of Daniel Keleher (1829) mother Mary Ryan but they all seem to be working the Massey land.

Many thanks! I know they were Kellehers in mount Massey and yes I had a Cornelius kelleher from Stonefield, kilcorney marry Corn. Kelleher's daughter (Mount Massey) but my horsemount Kellehers are not of these. Also I have Dan and John Pat as names no Con in any generation of my horsemount north Kellehers best wishes liz 

I may have misunderstood your inquiry; I thought you were asking for suggestions on where to focus your research. My response to your posting was only a suggestion that you consider Clondrohid as a possible point of origin, since there were a cluster of Cronins & Kehelers there in the early 1800’s. I only provided my family research as an illustration of the intertwining of Cronins & Kehelers, I was not suggesting a connection.

Gee Liz, it looks like I have a distant cousin DNA match to your Margaret Kelleher so maybe your Cronin & Kellehers are connected to mine. I suggest you look in the Clondrohid & Aghabulloge areas.
