Diane:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I assume you have the specifics on the civil marriage record (see below) and the civil birth records for the children of Edward and Catherine. I located civil birth records for eight of the nine childrenchildren: Patrick 1877 Martin 1878 Ellen 1979 Winifred 1883 Catherine 1885 Margaret 1886 Anne 1888 and Peter 1890. I
On Roots Ireland I found the likely baptismal record for Edward Lally in 1849 and Margaret in 1857. See below.
Is there additional information we can assist with?
You may want to add Edward and Margaret's emigration story to our XO Chronicles site in the Islandeady parish page. https://irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-database

That Margaret McTigue from a different family. Catherine McTigue had a twin Margaret who died shortly after birth in 1846 (a terrible year to be born), and then another Margaret was born in 1853. All those births in Monagurrane, before the family moved to Beltra to avoid eviction by Palmer.
