For the Appotment Books and Griffiths Valuatons, are the definitions the same for land acreaage? Acres, rods, perches? Can I compare aceages the same between the 2 sources.

See www.nationalarchives.ie for details on Tithe Applotment acreage - Irish acre 1.62 larger than Statute (English). Richard Griffith Valuations are in Statute.
Details are given of various forms in Joseph Byrne's "dictionary of Irish Local History 2004" page 14 which covers, Irish, Statute and Cunningham(Scottish) acres, perches etc
