Wondering if there are any other researching my Wilkinsons.  4th great grandparents were Thomas Wilkinson and Elizabeth Cullen from Soutrh central Dublin.  They had 4 or 5 children, one of whom was my 3rd great grandfather, Patrick, who joined the 100th regiment of foot and came to canada and fought in the War of 1812.  He eventually settled in Montreal where he married Elizabeth Comyns, who died shortly after, and then he remarried to my 3rd great grandmother Mary Ann lavery, whose family came from County Armagh.  The other children I have been able to find through parish records were Michael, Thomas and Anne.  Patrick's records seem to have been lost, or in any case, i haven't been able to locate them.  I do have his military records.  Other families mentioned as god parents in the baptism records were Bulger/Bulgar and Moore.  Hoping to find others researching one or some of the families I have mentioned here.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I searched on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie which has Dublin city church records. I found the marriage record for Thomas and Elizabeth on December 26, 1884 at St. Nicholas and a baptismal record for Anne on August 15, 1803 also at St. Nicholas. ( I assume you already have these records).  I did not see any other records. There may be some gap in records in the late 1700s  https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0500

  • uThanks Roger, I do indeed have all the available records.  Was hoping maybe someone else is researching some of the surnames I provided.  I'm convinc3d the the Bulger family were related in some way, but not finding much on them to cement that feeling.
