DNA testing shows that there are two distinct Melican clans - the Co. Clare Melicans and the Co. Waterford Melicans. I am from the latter very much smaller clan and interested in the genealogy of this group.
In Dungarvan, we have marriage links to Hyde, Browne, Hudson, Keating, O'Mahoney, and Stedman families.
Any information pertaining particularly to parishes of Dungarvan, Abbeyside, Kilmacthomas & Waterford Rural gratefully received.
