Hello all,

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kerry/Lackabaun/Mullaghmarky/1428302/ This is my Kerins family on the census (there are many variations on the spelling and there is even another Kerins family with parents John and Mary in the same parish) including my great grandfather Denis J, all of his siblings and parents John and Mary (maiden name Keane). I have accounted for all siblings but two: Kate and Bredget (born about 1888 and 1890 from what I can tell on this census). I would like to find out where they ended up before I go back further. Perhaps they got married or went off to work somewhere, and I would appreciate any suggestions on where to look. My great grandfather Denis emigrated in 1913 on the Majestic to New York and then went to Dorchester to meet my great grandmother Dora (maiden name Warren) who was already there. Brother Patrick stayed and was buried in Ireland in the 60s, Simon emigrated and died young in New York, Ulick emigrated first to England and ended up in Rhode Island with sister Mary who was already there with her husband Carl. Denis went back to visit Ireland in 1950 and I have his passport with the stamp from Shannon. I imagine that he visited his brother then and maybe his nieces and nephews. Two of Patrick's daughter's came over here to visit and stay with Aunt Mary in the 1950's when my mother was young. I would really appreciate any suggestions about searching for Bredget and Kate. Thank you.

This might be Kate. 1923 marriage of Kate Kearin to John Doyle https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1923/09178/5319743.pdf

I still have had no luck with Bredget. How can you find out if someone became a nun? I am sorting through possibilities this week with the help of Dave and hope to have more information about Kate and Bredget soon.
