McConologue

Recently, the following article was posted on the website:  Nurse Katie McConologue and the Great Flu of 1918.  Aside from the current Covid crises, the reason this article caught my eye is the name McConologue.  This is the ancestor in our tree which I relate this name back to:

John McConologue Toorish

1894–1970

BIRTH 6 NOV 1894 • Strabane, Tyrone, Northern Ireland

DEATH FEB 15 1970 • Toronto City, York South, Ontario, Canada

great-grandfather 

We suspect that this may be a maiden name of a maternal family line of his mother's, who was an O'Donnell.  We've tried to research this name which is less common than our family name of "McConnell" , LOL but to no avail.  Much of our research was investigating McConologues in Letterkenny, Donegal (as we had other family members that seemed to go back and forth from there and Strabane, Tyrone).

Is there anyway that Irelandxo can forward this message to a "McConologue" descendent of Kate McConologue feature in the article above?  And/or would anyone with information on this family be able to provide me with any info?  I do have an account on Ancestry under my name below if anyone would like to message me there.

Any info that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
