I am seeking information on this couple who were married in 1877 at the Presbyterian Church Oritor - Parish of Kildress
Catherine was from Ballynasollus & Thomas from Gortin.
Their Fathers were David FRAZER & Thomas LITTLE both Farmers
Witnesses Andrew & Lydia CHARLES
They appear to have had only one child: Thomas LITTLE born 1879 in Gortin
We think it is him on the 1901 Census living with the Hopper family in Molesworth Street, Cookstown.
Other than that, we cannot find death records for any of them, nor find Catherine and/or Thomas Snr
on the 1901 Census nor Catherine, Thomas Snr or Thomas Jnr in 1911
They were not Catholic.
Any help much appreciated.
TIA

Brigitte,
Thomas and Catherine had a second child: Jane born 11.9.1881.

I don’t know what became of her.
This may be Catherine Little’s death in 1888 in Dungannon Workhouse, aged 32. Her previous address was Gortin:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_retu…
It’s possible that Thomas senior then remarried in Belfast in 1893 to Margaret Martin:

The family in 1901:

1911:

The above Thomas looks to have died in Belfast Workhouse in 1918:

He’s buried in the City Cemetery.

Elwyn,
Just had a look at that marriage to Margaret and I don't think that is our Thomas as
on the marr record when he married Catherine his Father's name is Thomas not Simon.

Elwyn,
Even though the ages do not tie up with estimated dates of birth:
the death for Catherine in the workhouse could well be her I think
At time of death she was married. So Thomas presumably was still alive.
I have now found a death for a Thomas also formerly of Gortin in the workhouse in 1898 he is listed as a Widower
This seems to tie up and if this is them, it would explain why I couldn't find them on the 1901 & 1911 Census.
I Just have to have a further look now for Thomas the Son and Daughter Jane.
I have realised, since you sent your findings, that I need to search differently on the irishgenealogy.ie website.
Many thanks again for your help.
Regards,
Brigitte
