Hello,
My husband's dad was from Cavan and I'm seeking his great grandfather, Daniel Leddy's first marriage record. Daniel was baptised in Drumlane Parish estimated 1830-34?
Daniel's first wife was Mary Johnston baptised 14 May 1834 in Lurgan. Her parents, William Johnston ad Elizabeth McDermott were from Lisgrey/Lisgrea. This record is on Roots Ireland too.
1. My best guess is that Daniel Leddy & Mary Johnston were married between 1850-1855. Please let me know if you find their marriage.
2. Is there be a death record in Lurgan of Mary Leddy between 1850s - 1864? By July 1864, Daniel is a widower who marries his second wife in Lavey.

Attached copy of the marriage of Daniel Leddy per www.rootsireland - The record just states Cavan, so hopefully you may already have the parish where he was living? The information does not show any witness names!

Hello McCoy,
The Daniel Leddy I am seeking was born around 1830-34.
In 1864 he is a widower and marries his 2nd wife and it states he's 30 years old then. The Daniel Leddy you found who married in 1834 must be another one. So far I have not found his 1st marriage to Mary Johnson or Johnston which happened prior to 1864. Thank you.
