I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather's family. My records show his father was married twice, Mary being the second wife. I show a total of 8 children with James being the third son, firstborn to Mary.
I would like to see if there is any other information available.
Thank you.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
see fifth record for james in 1871 https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1871/03281/2202159.pdf They lived in Clooncan townland Robeen civil parish. James had an older brother William 1869 Francis and Honor 1873 Thomas 1875 Catherine 1877 Stephen 1880
fourth record for marriage of Michael and Mary and as you indicated Michael was a widower https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1869/11413/8191512.pdf
I found a March 25 1858 baptismal record for a John Gibbons with parents Michael Gibbons and Ellen Burke from Clooncan. There was also a Patrick baptized January 1 1860.
Records for the parish start in October 1857. I was not able to locate a marriage record so presumably the marriage occurred before October 1857.

Thank you, Roger.
I appreciate your prompt reply. Do you have any idea what the note "1st H.L." means on the birth record for James? I'm assuming the H.L. is simply the initials of the registrar, but O'Brien is crossed out at the note added.
Wishing you well!

Another question, if I may...
Stephen Gibbons was baptized on December 24, 1880, per a Parish register, yet the birth register shows Mar 1, 1881, as his date of birth, registered on Mar 7, 1881. You had the 1880 date for Stephen. Where did you find this date? Were you going off of the Parish register?

I don't have an explanation for O'Brien crossed out or the First HL although as you indicate HL is the initials of the Deputy Registrar.
Parents had an obligation to report a birth within 30 days of the birth or there was a fine. Likely because of bad weather, distance to the registrar etc. Stephen';s birth was not registered within 30 days so what most parents did was change the date so there was no fine. Likely Stephen was born a few days before his baptimal date.
