Hello -
I'm looking for any leads on my Ryan ancestors who were from Kilbline/Bennetsbridge/Thomastown.
Chalres Ryan and Mary A. Walsh were married 3 Nov 1879 in Thomastown, so they would have been born 1850ish-1860ish.
There was a Dennis Ryan as a witness to their wedding, who I *THINK* was Charles' brother.
Charles and Mary had three children, all of whom emigrated to Boston in the United States. Charles and Mary also emigrated to Boston, but not until 1922, long after their children.
Any and all assistance greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Dorothy

Dear Dorothy,
I wonder if you have checked out Griffiths Valuation 1847 to 1864. It shows a Charles Ryan as a farmer and I think 1850 is the date. Would he have been your Charles' father? http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNam…;
Then you have the 1901 Census: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/results.jsp?census_year=19…
And the 1911 Census: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/results.jsp?census_year=19…; You should be able to find the couple who did not leave until 1922 in both of the 1901 & 1911 census.
Hope this is of some help. Let me know if I can help further.
