John Lavin and Jane Butler

Hello Maureen, there are aobut four John Lavin father John born in Roscommon from 1833 to 1839, there is one in Croghan born in 1833, mother is Bridget Murry as transcribed, witness's are Peter King and Catherine Glancy (this is a varient of Clancy). The baptism is 11th April. The others nearer the correct date of 1835 have mothers (they need them of course) named Frances  Cokran posssibly Corcoran, this is in a place called Aughrim, there appears to be two transcription of the same baptisms on the 3rd and 9th March 1835, in the notes it says Frances is written as Fanny. 

There is a baptism in 1834 of a John Lavan mother Anne Carthy, Boyle. and the other one is in Tibohine Fairymount, odd name, mother is only given as Catherine Lavin, witnesses are Bartolomew Lavin and Catherine Dyer, the 1839 one has a mother called  Eleanor McCormack Croghan, all these are in Roscommon. 

There are no Jane Butler father  Robert born in Ireland 1830 to 1834, that is no record as some parishes do not have them at that time. However there is a Mary Butler father Robert in Croghan, it is possible she was born Mary Jane and not transcribed, mother is Brigit Lynch 25th August 1833, one witness is McCue.
