Hello Again!
Daniel Sweeny was born in Cork around 1817. The family lived in Glantane Parish (Glountane?). I do not have a date of death. Through research on ancestry.com, Daniel's parents may have been John Sweeny and Anne Gamble, based on a baptismal document dated February 2, 1817 in Saint Mary's Church in Cork City. I can not confirm that as there were a lot of Sweenys back then. I can confirm that my Daniel Sweeny married Catherine Hurley (1826-?) on February 26, 1854 in Donaghmore. One of their daughters was Katherine Sweeney (1860-1941) who I have been researching now for a number of years. (See previous posts.)
Can you find siblings of Daniel? I am hoping that there is an Ellen born around 1833. This information might link Katherine to me. "Might" being the key word here.
As always, thank you. I appreciate all your efforts.
