I have reason to think that my ancestor, Rosanna Duff, came from Donabate.
Unless there were two separate couples ,... Rosanna Duff, married to Richard Cullen ... one in Donabate and one in Goldenbridge / Old Kilmainham (in the R.C. Parish of St James)?
__________
I have found the following baptisms in Donabate:
Catharine Cullen
baptised 11 Mar 1840, godparents John Murphy and Catherine Kelly.
John Cullen
baptised 13 Aug 1845
godparents James McAllister and Catharine Durham
_________
Other baptisms were at St James R.C. Church, Dublin.
Dec 1847. Alice Cullen
Godparents John Gardiner and Ellen Doyle
Apr 1850. Richard Cullen.
Godparents: Peter Fallon and Maria Benson.
Mar 1852 Thomas Cullen
Godparents: Anne Duff and Philip Smith
Aug 1854. James Cullen
Godparents: James Cullen and Anne Donagh
Rosanna may have been the Mrs Rosanna Cullen, widow, who died, aged 66, in 1888 (at 11 Abercorn Terrace, Old Kilmainham, Dublin)?
I would be grateful if anyone has any information on any of the Cullens listed above, the Duff connections, or on how any of the godparents were linked to the family.
Thank you.
