Hello I am researching the Daly family from Castle Daly Westmeath. I already have a list of names that go back to 1600 but very short on birth, marriage and death dates. Also I only have my direct decendants not whole families, so would like to add more complete families starting with Denis Daly (born 1801) and his wife Isabella (nee Norcott) going back
Thank you

I am looking for Mary Daley or Daly who married John O'Neal in (very roughly) 1885 In Mullingar parish, Westmeath. Do you see any connection with your work?
Their daughter (my GGM) was Mary Ellen O'Neal. She was born in 1806 in Mullingar parish.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello Peg
The family of Denis Daly & Isabella Norcott only had 4 sons. Two the eldest two migrated to Australia Joseph and James.
The other two George Frederick Daly and Henry King Daly I know nothing about etc who they married. I suppose they may have had family but I haven't discovered any yet.
Sorry I can't be of any help

Hello Peg
Thanks for the reply I have been trying to get hold of the book here in Western Australia, but the only one available in Australia is in the National Library of Australia in Canberra and they won't lend it to my Library in Perth
If you are able to send me a copy of the relevant pages that would be great
My e-mail is lyn.pittaway@gmail.com
I have discovered another book 'History of the O'Dalys the story of the Ancient Irish Sept The race of Dalach of Corca Adaimh" compiled by Edmund Emmett O'Daly Chicago Illinois USA 1937. This book is over the top with info available on the Family Search Org (The Mormons). In it there is a family tree going way back to 405 AD I presume it is correct it may give you some ideas. Do you know the name of Mary Daly's parents
