Hello,
Because of a DNA match, I am looking for Quinlans in the Loughrea area. I found Quinlans in the Tithe Applotment Books in New Birmingham, Kilcooly Parish, Co Galway (when I searched the name Quinlan), but when I browse the Kilcooly Parish, I don't see them their. Also, I can't find a place called New Birmingham in Kilcooly Parish.
Can you help me understand where New Birminham is in Kilcooly Parish? This could help me find a possible connection with my ancestors from the Loughrea/Portumna area (Burke and Keating).
Thank you very much!

Hi CMST
Welcome to IrelandXO. I believe you have the incorrect county. The Kilcooley / New Birmingham is in Co Tipperary. Below is a link to an interesting article on the area: http://www.glengoole.net/pages/history.html
Quinlan family in Glengoole in 1901 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Tipperary/New_Birmingh…
Birth of Nicholas Quinlan in 1871 to Daniel & Catherine Dwyer https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_retur…
Mary Anne Quinlan https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_retur…
Birth of William Quinlan 1881 to Daniel & Catherine Dwyer https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_retur…
There is also a birth from 1866 of William Quinlan to William Quinlan and Kate Norton?
Will check with admin, may be able to reassign to Tipperary if appropriate.
I await your response
