McCabes

Hi,  

Yes Luke & Michael were ordained in Overbrook, for Philadelphia.  I have just googled Overbrook, see this link https://www.scs.edu, next year the campus is celebrating 150 years, so I am unsure if it is the same place, but you could contact them.  Luke was ordained 1869 & Michael in 1892, their mother was Elizabeth Carolan.

3.Michael McCabe 17th March 1866 Mullagh, Cavan, Ireland.
Father Patrick McCabe. Mother Elizabeth Carolan. Sponsors John Carolan Anne Sullivan.

The information is on the Irish Genealogy Site. Also the MyHeritage Site has a member called Suzanne Hagen that has information on your Family. (Looks like she is a relative).

My grandmother is Kay (Kathleen McCabe), sister of Sue (Suzanne) Hagen who reached out to you—so Sue is my great aunt. My great grandpa was raised by the two priests in Balacynwyd Philadelphia because his father died young working in Montana in the Copper industry (John Benedict McCabe). I am surprised and delighted to hear that the original house is still around. I wonder if anyone has seen it? I have more info about the folks who emigrated, lots of stories about those McCabes, we’ve been in Minneapolis for a while now. I am the second-youngest generation (I am 34), and have a few nephews.
