Hi
Wishing to know about the Mackintosh family who MAY have resided in Limerick city in the 1790's early 1800's.
Charles Doherty (b.1790) married Isabella Mackintosh at St John's Church Limerick on 4 November 1812.
I do not know Isabella's parents names and have not found a baptism record for her.
Charles was in the 28th regiment and served in the Napoleonic wars.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Aussie,
A Phineas Macintosh was baptised in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick on March 17th 1805.
Father: Phineas Macintosh, Sergeant in 71st Regiment - Mother: Catherine.
If I come across anything further I will post it.

Baptism of James Mackintosh on 20th September 1816 in St. John's, Limerick.
Father: James - 88th Regt. Mother not named.
Baptism of Jane Macintosh in St. Michael's R.C. Church, Limerick on 12th March 1818.
Father: Daniel - Mother: Margaret Bourke
The different spellings do not help!

Nothing found for Isabella. There are marriage, births and deaths - 1739 to 1822 for Mackintosh, Mcintosh and Macintosh in Limerick. They are on www.rootsireland.ie and www.findmypast.ie. Both are subscription sites.
Mary McIntosh was baptised in St. Munchin's COI on 2nd September 1739. Father: Daniel - Soldier Bissett's -Mother: Catherine. A James Macintosh, Soldier died in August 1822. Most are recorded as Church of Ireland, with a few recorded as Roman Catholic.
You may be able to expand on your query having studied those names.
