Hello,
I have been trying to locate information regarding James Dunn, who married in Quebec, in 1814. In the wedding documentation it is mentioned that he was born in 1794, and that he is at the time of his marriage a private soldier and drummer in His Majesty's 103rd Regiment of Foot, which I believe was filled in Dublin County, Ireland. His daughter married into the French Canadian side of my family. I would greatly appreicate any clues as to where I might learn more about this person.
Thank you.

Hi
The list of men for the 103 regiment is found on Ancestry.com UK Regimental registry of service. There are 200 pages of service and if James finished the war you should be able to find him in those pages. They will give you a description, age, where he enlisted, hieght, trade record of service,, and where he said his home was. etc...detailed records. Yoiu might have to pay Ancestry exta to access these records.
Cheers

Hi Ron,
Thank you, I think I might have found him here, although he is listed as James Dunny, but the right birth year and regiment. Now I have his parish Bandon, and can look for additional information there. Thanks for your response.
