My great grandfather, John Logan was the son of Thomas and Margaret (nee Alexander) who were married in March 1857. Their place of residence is listed on their marriage certificate as Drumcon. Their fathers were William Logan and Hugh Alexander.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any information on Thomas and Margaret or any other members of the family.

The tithe applotment records for 1834 list 3 Alexander farms in Drumcon (Jane, James & Hue (Hugh). They also list 2 Logan farms (William & James).

The correct date for Thomas & Margaret’s marriage is 25th March 1851 (not 1857).
Tradition was to marry in the bride’s church which was Ahoghill 2nd Presbyterian, so that’s possibly where she was baptised.
Griffiths Valuation for 1861 lists Hugh Alexander on plot 22a which was 37 acres.
Thomas Logan is listed in the Valuation revision records as farming plot 23 (beside Hugh’s farm). It was 16 acres. Both are near the modern Craigs Rd and would not be too hard to find today if you wished to do so.
Here’s the birth of son Thomas Logan in Drumcon in 1865:

Thomas senior looks to have died in 1882 aged 69. Informant was his son James.

The Valuation records on the PRONI website show the farm passing to William Logan in 1885. Margaret looks to have died in 1879 aged 56:
The William Logan who inherited the farm was married to Margaret Logan, also of Drumcon (so perhaps a cousin):
This is the family in the 1911 census:

I would guess that the farm eventually passed to Matthew as here’s his probate abstract:
Logan Matthew of Drumcon Rasharkin county Antrim farmer died 27 July 1956 Probate Belfast 14 June to Samuel John Logan and Samuel John Hanna farmers. Effects £642 15s. 5d.
Hugh Alexander is deleted in 1889. I can’t find a death that goes with that so can’t confirm precisely when he died or left.
There look to have been up to 4 Logan farms in Drumcon at various times so care will need to be taken to sort the families out, especially as they are probably related. No Alexanders in Drumcon by the 1901 census.
