My ancestors are John Dempsey who married Catherine ( Kate) Crowley. Their son, Patrick, who came to the US is my great grandfather.

John Dempsey and Catherine Crowley married February 16 1840 at the Courceys Country RC parish.also know as Ballinspittal. I also located three baptismal reocrds for children. The dates are baptismal dates. Are you aware of other children?
Mary February 2 1841
Patrick September 19 1843
Dan March 25 1847
The 1852 Griffiths Valuation head of house hold listing for Ringrone civil parish showed tow John Dempsey records. One in Ballymackean townland and the other Oldcourt townland. Likely one was your ancestor. https://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/cork/ringrone.htm

Thank you so much for your reply! I had just found Dan and Mary myself yesterday and it was the first siblings I found for Patrick. I know nothing at all about him except his parents names. If you are located in Ireland, can you help me narrow down where they lived. I see you say Ballinspittal but I have also seen Ringrone and Kinsale and don't understand what the differences are? Is there a village or town? Do you know where they could have been buried?
Thank you again, so much for your help!

I live in the States. Here is a link to the 19th century parish register thru 1880 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0108 The parish had multiple names-Ringrone, Corceys Country, Ballinspittal, Templetrine. Likely there were multiple chapels within the overall parish. If you look at the map in the upperright hand corner, you can see that Kinsale was the parish just to the east/northeast.
Ringrone is the civil parish in the area. Here is a little background on Ballinspittal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballinspittle
Kinsale is a much larger town and also a civil parish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsale
As far as where the Dempseys lived, most likely it would be one of the two townlands in my first reply.
