Hi my grandmother Molly Mcklerie was born & raised in Bailieborough. She them emigrated to the UK and settled in Lytham St Anne's Lancashire. She had two sisters Martha & Olive (both left Ireland much later than Molly & settled in London) They had one brother named John James who remained in Bailieborough but died along time ago(1970's) Molly had three daughters Irene(my mother) , Helen & Katherine & they always spent summers in Ireland till Mollys parents died (1960's)
I'm tracing my Irish ancestry & if anybody knows ANYTHING in regards to my family it would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance
Marcus

Marcus:
I searched for McKerlie death records and did not locate any records in the 1960s. The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has death records thru 1970.
I also searched the 1911 census and there were no McKerlie records anywhere in Ireland. Is there an alternate spelling?

Thank you Carmel & Rodger for your prompt responses.
Yes my spelling was INCORRECT & my Irish family was in fact Mc Cleary.
I believe John James Mc Cleary was my Grandmother's brother Carmel.
Do you know if there are any Mc Cleary's or relatives related to John James still in Bailieborough
Sorry again for the confusion
Cheers MarcusMarcus

Hi Marcus,
I dont know if John James has any living relatives, I was a young girl when I knew him, he lived on Main Street where we lived. He was a very nice man. I looked up newspaper archives and I found the following notice:
Anglo-Celt 1846-current, Friday, February 03, 1978
Mr. John James McCleary. of Lower Main St., who died on Friday, was in his late sixties. He worked for many years as a transport driver until his retirement. He is survived by his son Billy, Leicester; daughter, Mrs. Vida Gray. Birmingham; sisters; Mrs. Martha Fisher, London; Mrs. Olive Castle, London; Mrs. Molly Johnston, Blackpool.
I hope this gives you some more avenues to look up.
Best wishes in your search

Thank you very much. For some reason I thought John James never married. I also thought his work was associated with horses (maybe he liked a wager on the horses lol) We are a very close Family & my grandmother Molly & her sisters Martha+Olive were an important part of my family. I will investigate further. THANK YOU again for taking the time to research my family information
Cheers MarcusMarcus
