Who is Margaret?

Hi,
She married in San Francisco California and 1874 to Cornelius Emmett cardigan........have you got the actual cert. should state her fathers name.
Also her death sometimes does state this. Also the year on any census that she arrived in the USA.

Hi Carolanne, the marriage certificate, you would have to get one from the office for Births Death and Marriages.
I looked in Familysearch.org and the marriage is not listed is not listed
There is a Margaret Daley thats a match, she was with her Mother in May 1870, in California, depending on the month she went to the USA that's the nearest one I got in California.
Her Mothers name is Bridget.
You woulld have to get the marriage cert to confirm her fathers name.
I have kept the documnet, please get the marriage cert first.

On the 1900 census San Francisco Margaret is listed as born may 1848 married 26years 7 children 4 living born Ireland as were her parentsyear of immigration 1870 30 years in the USA her husband Cornelius born Jan 1848 Ireland he also immigrated in 1870 his occupation a songshoeman

The 1869 census for USA listing Bridget Daly as Margaret mother I thought something can't be correct Margaret is listed as age 25 Bridget her mother ? 70 could that be possible 45 year old giving birth in Ireland in 1848 and both surviving.

Yes they had a child william 17 Feb 1878 who married Annie M Gerlach California
