I'm trying to locate my GGGrandfathers grave, unfortunately his name is quite common John O'Donnell, he was present at his sons wedding in 1871 in pettigo Arthur his son was 26 so assuming John was at least 21 when Arthur was born again assuming he died in his 70s he most likely died before turn of centenary, he was a farm labourer and traveled around that area into Donegal town , unfortunately I don't know if he was married or if there were other children.     On the marriage the address was Fincashel.    

    John the son, had a son John in 1871 and a daughter Mary 1873. The Mother was Anne Slevin.
    The address was Edrim Glebe.
    I  searched for Edrim Glebe and got the find a grave site 
    Edrim Glebe in Donegal, County Donegal - Find A Grave Cemetery
    No graves listed sorry.
    Can't find a record for John the father.

    Thanks Margot that's as far as I got, just can't find any trace of his wife or other children, I know times were extremely difficult but no trace at all seems very sad thanks for time and effort regards Bill
