I am looking for information about the parents of John Fouhy (born about 1815) who married Mary Cashin (born about 1822), date unknown, They lived in Meadstown and had 10 children born between 1843 and 1861 as far I can find the baptismal reocrds for.
I have also found their death records in 1892 from influenza which gives the approximate birth dates (above) along with a gravestone marking the death of Mary in Shanrahan Graveyard.
The other information I have is Timothy Fouhy (1773-1820) married Ellen Coleman who died in 1805. They had two children William (1802) and Edmond (1804). I was wondering if it's possible that Timothy married again and John was a child of the second marriage. However, I cannot find any records to support this theory.
I realise that records are very scanty for this period, but any help will be greatly received.

Further to this post, it is my belief that John Fouhy's parents were William Fouhy (1778-1852 and his wife Mary Mockley 1781-?)
William and Mary seem to have 4 children William 1803, Thomas 1814, John 1815 and Timothy 1816.
I have records for William's family as he married Emma or Amy Wheylan in 1837. They had William 1837, James 1839, Timothy 1841(? - no baptismal record), Elizabeth 1856.
Both Timothy and Elizabeth married on the same day in Feb 1894 to Mary and Timothy Fouhy respectively. (They were brother andsister whose father was Martin Fouhy.
Timothy and Mary had two children Martin (1897 d 1897) William (1896) and Martin Stephen in1899.
Martin married Catherine Scanlan in 1940. But according to the gravestone died in 1948. Catherine died in 1970.
Would be interested if annyone has any information about Thomas and Timothy.
