Trying to locat details of my 2nd great-grandfather Daniel McInerney, thought to have lived in County Clare, born 1812 and died about 1856. I think his father was Donald McInerney, married to Bridget McNamara. His son Daniel 1840-1911 was also married to a Bridget, surname unknown and his grandson Daniel migrated to Australia, I think on the Venilia, landing in Brisbane in 1865 and marrying Mary Coff(e)y in Singleton (Patrick Plains) in 1873. Unfortunately ther parish priest just wrote Ireland for place of birth, as neither parties could write and signed with an 'x'. He also spelt the husband's name as McNerny and the witness' name as McInery. I think two uncles of the last Daniel, Thomas and John, resided in Singleton. John signed Daniel's marriage certificate as a witness. The third Daniel 1877-1939, my grandfather, married Letitia McCulloch (agh) in Tamworth NSW in 1907.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please confirm the details on your post, Daniel 1840-1911 could not have a son Daniel who married in 1873 !

Poor phrasing on my part, it was Daniel, born 1940, who married in 1873 after arriving in Australia in 1865, sorry! I believe Donald date of birth unknown but suggested in 1790s, married Brifget McNamara, fathered Daniel 1812 who also married another Bridget (surname unknown), who fathered Daniel 1840 who married Mary Coffey in Singleton who fathered Daniel 1877 who married Letitia McCullagh (och) and fathered Gerard Joseph (my father) in 1913. The Irish details are oral tradition and may not be correct.

Seeking details of the forebears of Daniel McInerney born in County Clare between 1840-1845, son of Daniel and Bridget (maiden name unknown), arrived in Brisbane from Plymouth on Venilia on 15th October 1865.
