Maria Sexton born Kilrush, Clare 1835

Hi Patricia,

A check of subscription site -  www.rootsireland.ie -  did not show up any Maria or Mary Sexton for January 1835 with a father named Martin Sexton.

There is a marriage record for a Martin Sexton in 1845 in Miltown Malbay area and a land Valuation for another Martin Sexton in East Co. Clare taken early 1850's. While there are almost 150 holdings named "Sexton" in the County, only one is named Martin. It is also possible that your "Martin Sexton" could be a son of one of the holders.

Can you supply any more information?

Many thanks McCoy we don't know much about Maria Sexton  born Kilrush 1835 Father Martin mother we believe by her death cert was Mary O'Day she married in Sydney in 1855 died in Wollongong NSW 1908 I did find a other  Sexton born on the same day in Kilrush he name was Joseph and he was in Melbourne Vic we believe that they were related.  We cannot find when either came to Australia  Cheers Pa

Thanks M cCoy I think it might be  Martin Sexton and Mary Obrien marriage have been having trouble with your site I am 80 so only woked out how to look at the records  Cheers Pat
