Anyone know anything about the family of Baron O'Hagan ? I am investigating the ancestry of James O'Hagan, the earliest record I have of him is Griffith's in 1855 where he is listed at the intersection of Robert Street and Shankill... wondering if he may have been a fairly close relation of Baron O'Hagan, possibly a younger brother, he was a teacher and quite well off.

Hello O'Maoilchonaire,
Was your James O’Hagan the son of Edward O’Hagan and Mary Bell? Edward and Mary were the parents of Thomas O’Hagan, who became the 1st Baron O’Hagan. Thomas was born in Belfast in 1812. If your James’s parents were Edward O’Hagan and Mary Bell, the 1st Baron O’Hagan would be James's older brother.
I can send you more information if James O’Hagan’s parents were Edward O’Hagan and Mary Bell, or if you would just like more information about them.
The O’Hagans were a Catholic family and communicants of St. Patrick’s Church in Belfast.
Unfortunately however, one of the years missing from the St. Patrick’s baptism registers is the year 1812, the year of Thomas Baron O’Hagan’s birth and baptism.
Are you a Conroy or Conry?
Best Wishes,
Dave Boylan
