Attached page is from Ireland valuation records 1824-1856, Killenaule
I am trying to find the current location of this property owned by Thomas Murphy. 24 and 25 River Street (Garden house), and Michael Murphy 38 River Street house. Thomas Murphy was married to Catherine Forgarty.
Their son was my GGG grandfather was Michael Murphy DOB June 30, 1815. He also has a home listed in this record at 38 River Street Killenaule.
Also interested in acreage and valuation at this time. It looks like Thomas Murphy had 50 acers at this location.
ANy further insight into what this land description means would be greatly appreciated..
I am planning to visit this town in August or September of this year. Thank you
.

Hello Murph,
Why not look at Google Maps? River Street is still in existence and you can probably plot out the addresses you provided.
Have a great trip.

Hi Patricia,
Not finding anything on google maps on 38 River street Killenaule.
Not much on 25 River street either but there are some images of a cemetary and gravestones.
I was wondering if there might be some other records such as a plat of the proeprty showing where these properties were located.
Also not sure of the meaning of a garden house at that time.

Hi Murph,
I believe the description should be read as "garden AND house," not "garden house."
Perhaps you might contact Longford's historical or heritage society for assistance with the addresses.
I hope this helps.
