Looking for info on Martin Walsh of Coolrainy. Was once head of bureau of forest, fisheries... Wife was Margaret Sullivan. Many of his children immigrated to Albany, NY. Daughter Anastasia Walsh Mahoney remained in Ireland with many children/births of twins. Any pertinent info. Parents? Descendants in Ireland? Thank you.

Linda:
Looks like Martin Walsh was born in Coolrainy Co. Kilkenny not Co. Wexford.
fourth record 1891 birth record for Anastasia. If this is the correct record the maiden name for Margaret was Walsh not Sullivan

I located the 1901 and 1911 censuses for the family and it appears Martin was a farmer. He may have been head of forests and fisheries earlier. I was not able to locate the marriage record.

I found the 1914 marriage record of John O'Mahoney and Anastasia Walsh

The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has civil birth record images up to 1920. There are five children born to John O'Mahoney and Anastasia Walsh from 1916-1920. One each year.
