I found Robert Henry Kee, Jemima Wray Kee and their two children Henry Vaughan and Olive Maude grave marker in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Dundonald, County Down and was wondering if any other of their family were buried in this cemetery. They had 10 children and 8 were alive in 1911 when they lived on Main Street in Stranorlar, Donegal. I'm not sure if they moved to County Down or if they are just buried there.
Can anyone help? Jemima R L Wray is my great grandaunt, daughter of John Wray and Mary Anne Long Wray from Carricknamanna, Killygordon, County Donegal. Any information would be most appreciated.
Thank you, Charline

Charline,
I can see a death registered in Belfast for Jemima Kee on 13.1.1949 aged 72. So she died in the Belfast area not in Donegal. Robert died in Belfast on 24.1.1946. There’s a notice about his death in the Northern Whig of 25.1.1946 which gives his address as 13 Derg St, Belfast. He’s in the street directories at that address from at least 1939 onwards. It looks as though the family had moved to live in Belfast sometime before 1939.

Hi Elwyn,
Thank you so very much for this information. You ALWAYS have been a big help to me in my search of ancestors in Ireland and I appreciate everything you have done. I will post the question on the Donaghmore Parish message board as it relates to there.

Elywin, I forgot to ask, do you know how I might come get a copy or at least read, Robert Kee's death announcement in the Northern Whig?

I have a subscription to the British Newspapers Archive and the Whig’s back copies are there. The wording is:
“In thy presence fullness of joy, KEE – January 24 1946, at his residence, 13 Derg St, Robert H, dearly loved husband of Jemima Kee (late Ballybofey, Co. Donegal). Funeral to Dundonald Churchyard tomorrow (Saturday) at 2.30pm. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife and family.”
