Seeking information about my 3xgreat grandfather John Kelly born abt 1839, immigrated to Australia in 1863 parents listed as Martin and Mary Kelly and according to immigration records was a ships carpenter also showing he had a cousin Thomas Kelly in Forbes, N.S.W. at the time.
Married a Mary Field from Glasgow in 1863 in Lachlan District.
Forbes was a gold Field at this time.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated being in Australia I struggle with Irish records and don't really know where to start to look for them.

I searched the free site www.iirshgenealogy.ie (Church Tab) and found two leads.
John Kelly baptized March 23 1836 in Rathmines father Martin Kelly and mother Maria Doyle
John Kelly baptized June 28 1839 at St. Nicholas RC parish father Martin Kelly and mother Mary Cullin
Are you aware of any siblings to your John Kelly?

His parents are Martin Kelly and Maria Cullin, from what I have just found looks like brothers Michael and Patrick but still looking into them.
