I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and was unable to locate the baptismal records for the two sons. Roots Ireland only has records for five parishes which go back to the 1830s and one of the parishes was Sligo town. Some parishes maintain records locally other parishes have their records at the Representative Church Library in Dublin. Besides Roots Ireland there is no other centralized data base of C of I records. I also did not find a marriage record for the couple. 

Have you considered DNA testing?

To add to the Post by Roger McDonnell, I attach some detail of the Surname - "Davis"-  in Co. Sligo in the period 1828 to 1845.

It may help in tracing your family connections.

I amstunned at the speed of replies from both Roger and McCoy. Yes we have done DNA testing (8 people actually) but all matches so far are in Canada, Australia, USA England & Wales. WE wold love an Ireland-residing descendant to surface of course. Might the marriage and births acullay have been in Leitrim, as that where the Census reported Catherine was born?

As you likely know, Leitrim and Sligo have a significant area where the counties border each other. Tradition was to marry in the bride's parish so it is likely the marriage occured in Co. Leitrim and Catherine would have been baptized in Leitrim based on the Canadian information. I had already checked Co. Leitrim records when I searched earlier.
