Hello.
I have used GRONI quite a bit for births, deaths and marriages in Northern Ireland.
I was wondering whether there is any similar resource for Ireland (Eire)?
Many thanks,
David

David,
This link gives you births & death from 1864, RC marriages from 1864 and non RC marriages from 1845 for all of Ireland (including Northern Ireland up to 31.12.1921).
There’s 100 year cut off for births, 75 for marriages and 50 for deaths.

Elwyn,
Just out of interest, do you know the legislative source that provides the cut offs for marriages (75 yrs), births (100 yrs) and deaths (50 yrs). This info may just assist me with another enquiry I am conducting.
I have had a look online but can't seem to find it.
Regards,
David

David,
My understanding is that it’s under Data Protection Legislation.
The records are open to the public, just not on-line. It’s to prevent Data mining, as it’s called.
