Further to my research on Bedelia Fox it has been bought to my attention that in Ireland at the time of her birth 1876 to John Fox and Catherine Brennan that Bedelia, Delia and Brigid were interchangeable.
Is this correct? Delia I can understand but the Brigid line is interestring.
If true, then it helps me fill in a lot of missing information as I have found records of a Brigid Fox immigrating to Australia on the SS Jumna in 1900 on an Assisted Passage.
I have also found a Birth Notice of a Bridgid to John Fox and Catherine Brennan at Kilteevan Parish Roscommon.
Interestingly John O Brennan the former head and Director of the U.S. C.I.A father's a Own Brennan was baptized in the same Kilteevan Church in 1945.
So maybe we are related further back. But first I have to distinguish if Bedelia is really a Brigid.
And yes she did exist because quite a few cousins of mine have gone to Roscommon and spoken with her relatives years ago. One relative was the Late td Tom Foxe who owned the still functiong Pub or Tavern in the same name.

Thank you Roger. This story is building nicely and I am slowly but surely aquiring a lot of information that is interesting.
Now, I know the fact Bedelia Iis a Brigid helps me further my research. Interestingly, my granddaughter Lily went to St Brigid's School on the Gold Coast. She now goes to a much larger school,Marymount Primary.
