Seeking information regarding my 3 x great grandfather John Kelly, ships carpenter, b abt 1839 stating Dublin on sons birth record, immigrated to Australia around 1863 married Mary Ann Field in the Lachlan District same year had a son Thomas Albert Kelly b1864 in Currajong/Billabong goldfields near Forbes.
Parents possibly Martin Kelly and Mary Cullen still to be confirmed.

The free site www,irishgenealogy.ie does have a June 28 1839 baptismal record for a John Kelly with father Martin Kelly and mother Mary Cullin. The Church was St. Nicholas RC. There are no other baptismal records for siblings or a marriage record for the parents.
