Hello there, I discovered recently that my great great grandfather Martin's father was called John and was a Master Painter from Horseleap. Martin was born in about 1820 and variously had the surname Smyth, Mahers, Meyers. This makes research very difficult but I am hoping that the Master Painter occupation might help.
