Hello, I am trying to trace my great great grandmother's ancestry in county Clare and am hoping I am

barking up the right tree. Her maiden name was Margaret Howard and according to an inscription in the

back of my great grandmother's Bible she came from Milltown Malbay, was born in 1848 and emigrated to

South Australia on the "Peeress" in 1866 under the name of Margaret Meehan. She travelled with Bridget

Meehan. She married Michael Donnellan in Kapunda, South Australia. James Howard was listed as her

father on the marriage certificate and Thomas Donnellan as Michael's. I have found no evidence yet of

Margaret's birth or who her mother was and am wondering if anyone has any clues.

Regards, Julie
