My GG Grandparents were Hugh Mc Cabe and Mary Lackey. They wed in 1859 in Co. Cavan and ther marriage register listed the townland as Lattoon. They were Catholic. They came to NY (Brooklyn) in 1860 and all their children were born there.....Anne, Catherine, Patrick, Mary, Hugh, Rose, Frank and Thomas.
Mary's parents were Francis ? Lackey and Anne O'Brien and they were wed in 1829 in Cavan with the townland again listed as Lattoon. I cannot find anything in Griffith's (1857 in Cavan) that mentions them.
Hugh's parents were listed on death cert. as Owen and Anne McCabe but have not been able to find anything.
If Mary and Hugh were wed in 1959 near or in Lattoon, what church would have been the likely one ? I have been told that St, Patrick's was the only around that area in 1859 ?
Any help is appreciated.

Lattoon townland is in the civil parish of Lattoon and the RC parish would be Lurgan. Mary and Hugh were married in Lurgan.
Currently, the parish is Virgiina/Lurgan and this link takes you to the web site which includes St. Patrick's church in Lurgan. https://www.kilmorediocese.ie/parish-details/?parishID=32
I also looked at the Griffiths for Lurgan civil parish and like you did not find a Lackey record but I did find a Terence McCabe in Lattoon townland. Not sure how he is connected to Owen and Hugh. https://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/cavan/lurgan.htm
I also searched the subscription site Rooots Ireland and found a July 1 1834 baptismal record for a Mary Lackey with parents Francis Lackey and Anne McBreen (which is a variation of O'Brien). Mary had the following siblings: James 1830 Rose 1832 Brigid 1836 Catherine 1839 Margaret 1841.
Let me know if you have any questions.

The 1821 census for Lurgan parish is available on the National Archives site. Here is a link to the households in Latoon (as spelled in the census) http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1821/Cavan/Lurgan/Latoon/&n…; There are two McCabe households but I don't see Owen. Also no Lackey households. There was a Lackey household in Lisgray townland but no Francis.

You may want to explore the records. There are very few records left from the 1821 census.
