My great grandfather John O'Connor from Kerry married Johanna Moriarty and had a son (my granfather) in 1905 also named John. I presume therefor they married late 1800's early 1900's. My grandfather moved to Scotland after the first world war and joined the British army. I'm still waiting on my grandfathers birth certificate to narrow the trail but thought in the mean time I might reach out to see if I can begin tracing the Moriarty family history where it might connect down. I beleive both my grandfather and great grand parents each had a number of siblings so perhaps someone reading this may be able to help me explore further. I would love to plan a trip to Kerry in the near future, in part to drive the ring but also to see if I can connect with any relatives.
Best regards
A. M. O'Connor

I've had trouble really digging into my Moriarty family line. My 3rd great-grandmoth Honora Moriarty (I've found 1 record with father listed John and mother Margaret White) was born in Kerry around 1779, but I've struggled finding many siblings to trace their lineage.
