Hill 60 housing, as you likely know, was built for veterans of WWI.

We did know Michael was a soldier, but did not know where or when and couldnt find anything in any military archives either so hoping WWI reference to the housing might help (fingers crossed!)

If the informant for Michael's death had his age reasonably correct then Michael would have been 6 or 7 in the 1901 census. I searched the 1901 census and there were only two Michael Fisher records between age 4 and age 12. Both were 7. One in Ardara in Co. Donegal and the other in Dublin. Both of these Michaels were in the same area in the 1911 census.

I pass these records as possible leads on the origins of your Michael. There are no civil marriage records in Ireland for a Michael Fisher marrying a Sarah.

I had followed the person from Usher's Quay and believed this could have been a match at one point, but that Michael died in 1915 (In 1911 he is seen working as an employee at a brewery, Guinness's have the same person died 1915)

The Michael in Ardara passed in USA 1934.

There are military records for a surviving Michael Fisher in the Irish Guards but I cannot find any information for Next of Kin / place of birth.  The address on discharge is Earlsfoth Mansions (Later North Circular Road) 

I think the problem I'm having is that I'm going round in circles trying to crossmatch records without vital information!!

Going to try the Mountmellick research group above, fingers crossed!
