The Surnames of Ireland by Dr. Edward MacLysaght states that the names Mally, Melia, Maily are variations of "O'Malley" which has its origins in County Mayo.
If you search the following free sites you may find those variations in www.nationalarchives.ie - Tithe Applonment Records - 1823 - 1837: www.askaboutireland.ie for Land records 1840 - 1860's and the Irish census 1901 and 1911 - National archives.
